Virtual Machine Manager doesn't seem to be able to create a virtual network that is bridged to the LAN interface of the host.
Here's how to manually configure it on Fedora:
LAN interface is enp0s25
- Make a backup copy of /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-enp0s25.
- Modify the original as follows:
DEVICE=enp0s25 NAME=enp0s25 HWADDR=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx NM_CONTROLLED=yes ONBOOT=yes TYPE=Ethernet BRIDGE=br0
- Create a new file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-br0 containing the following:
DEVICE=br0 NAME=br0 NM_CONTROLLED=yes ONBOOT=yes TYPE=Bridge STP=off DELAY=0 BOOTPROTO=dhcp IPV6INIT=yes IPV6_AUTOCONF=yes
- Stop and restart interface enp0s25
# nmcli connection stop enp0s25 && nmcli connection start enp0s25
